Hamsa Charm (Wards off the Evil Eye) with Good Wish Inscriptions for Travelers

Necklace or bracelet charm, made of unknown silver-colored metal. The Hamsa is an open palm, facing downwards, with an open eye on front, right below the middle. This symbol is meant to ward off the evil eye, which was blamed for misfortunes and bad lucks events. An inscription is etched above the eye in cursive Hebrew, which translates to “Good Travels!” The back side of the Hamsa charm is etched with an airplane, and cursive Hebrew text above which translates to “Go in Peace, Return in Peace.” This was given to my mother as a gift from her sister immediately before boarding a plane to return from visiting her in Israel.
